Best Student Paper Award at VISAPP 2026

Our doctoral student Martha Teiko T. received the Best Student Paper Award at VISAPP 2026 for the paper “FutrTrack: A Camera-LiDAR Fusion Transformer for 3D Multiple Object Tracking,” co-authored by Ori Maoz.

The paper proposes a transformer-based approach for tightly fusing camera and LiDAR data for robust 3D multiple object tracking, contributing to more reliable perception systems for autonomous driving.

The result builds on Martha’s earlier work, “LiDAR MOT-DETR: A LiDAR-based Two-Stage Transformer for 3D Multiple Object Tracking,” presented at BMVC last year, and reflects the continued development of transformer-based methods for 3D tracking.

Congratulations to Martha Teiko T. on this outstanding and well-deserved achievement.
